RABINDRA SANGEET IN GUJARATI - LYRICS- HIMANSHURAYRAVAL; SINGER - SUDIP MOOKERJI

A healthy tradition of lyrical translation of Rabinndranath Tagore started in Gujarat recently, and an audio CD called Ravi Pathe, supported also by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, and appreciated by Vishvabharati, was first published on 150 th birthday of Tagore in Ahmedabad. Dr. Indrani Sen, the famous Bangla playback singer, gave her voice to 4 such famous compositions of Tagore taken on that CD. Here, this is translation of Tagore's Ek Tu Ku Chhua Laage, sung on Doordarshan in August 2016 by noted singer Shri Sudip Mookerji, and is yet another tribute to Tagore, initiated by Himanshuray Raval Haqeer. DD needs to be congratulated for promoting such cultural initiatives.
